ENI library Means of access
The Online Library’s varied content is hosted on ENI’s servers and is accessible via the internet. The learners can customise their experience of the Online Library (taking notes, adding bookmarks, etc.). Customisations are saved, remaining accessible for the following learning sessions. Printing and PDF options are available for all means of access except for IP Restriction, which does not allow proper authentication of a user.
Logging in
I- Users enrolled via a database
The client submits an Excel file to Editions ENI, providing the following details for each user: Last Name, First Name, email address. This solution is best when the list of users is unlikely to change for the duration of the subscription.
II- Single Sign-on authentication (SSO)
With Single Sign-on, users do not have to provide their login details a second time if they are already authenticated on the company network. ENI automatically recognises them and provides access to the ENI Online Library.
This solution is recommended for environments compatible with the SAML protocol and when a large number of users need to be enrolled.
III- IP Restriction
The client submits a list with one or more IP addresses to Editions ENI. Users can access the Online Library from one of the provided IP addresses.
This solution is best for environments with a large number of users, with or without identification or when the target audience fluctuates (regular in and outflow).
IV- Email login
The client submits a list with one or more email domains (example: …@eni.fr) to ENI, corresponding to the users who should be granted access. When accessing this resource, new users are prompted to input their email address. If their email’s domain is among those listed, the user will receive an email from ENI with a link to sign up. The user must provide some information in order to finalise the account’s creation (Last name, first name, email address and password), after which they are granted access. This means of access allows users to sign-up independently. This solution is best for large volumes of users.
V- LMS integration
It is possible to integrate the ENI Online Library into your LMS platform (Learning Management System) using a SCORM 1.2 or 2004 package.
The user’s authentication is automatic.
The LMS administrator determines which resources the user can access. This solution is best for clients who already have an LMS.

Appendix EZ proxy – Playing videos
Vimeo video playback via EZproxy
Technical memo
General principle : The ENI platform can be proxified without restriction. Vimeo URLs must not be rewritten by EZproxy, as the Vimeo player performs strict domain validation.
Recommended EZproxy configuration :
Exclude Vimeo from URL rewriting:
- vimeo.com
- player.vimeo.com
- *.vimeocdn.com Validation :
Network requests must point to:
- player.vimeo.com
- *.vimeocdn.com
Appendix – Experience feedback (RETEX)
Root cause :
Vimeo URLs were rewritten by EZproxy, preventing the Vimeo player from initializing.
Videos do not appear on the screen.
Fix applied : NeverProxy rules applied to Vimeo domains. Result : Video playback restored successfully via EZproxy.
