The ‘Restart an assessment’ feature allows a learner to restart an assessment that has already been started or completed, while retaining a complete history of attempts for administrators.


Activation (administrators)

  • The option is managed from the site properties in the administration console.
  • Only Super Administrators can enable or disable it.
  • Once enabled:
    • it is active by default when an assessment is associated with a group,
    • it remains editable by group.
  • If disabled globally, the feature is blocked for all groups and learners.


Learner side

  • The ‘Restart assessment’ button appears once 1% progress has been made.
  • Before confirmation, a message informs the learner that:
    • progress and results will be deleted from their space.
  • After validation:
    • the assessment is reset,
    • and a new blank attempt begins.

The results history remains visible to administrators.


Monitoring and reporting

  • Administrators have access to:
  • the history of attempts,detailed PDF reports for each learner.In the Reporting area:
    • ‘Assessments’ tab: active attempt,
    • ‘Replays’ tab: previous attempts (1 replay = 1 line).
