The ‘Restart an assessment’ feature allows a learner to restart an assessment that has already been started or completed, while retaining a complete history of attempts for administrators.
Activation (administrators)
- The option is managed from the site properties in the administration console.
- Only Super Administrators can enable or disable it.
- Once enabled:
- it is active by default when an assessment is associated with a group,
- it remains editable by group.
- If disabled globally, the feature is blocked for all groups and learners.
Learner side
- The ‘Restart assessment’ button appears once 1% progress has been made.
- Before confirmation, a message informs the learner that:
- progress and results will be deleted from their space.
- After validation:
- the assessment is reset,
- and a new blank attempt begins.
The results history remains visible to administrators.
Monitoring and reporting
- Administrators have access to:
- the history of attempts,detailed PDF reports for each learner.In the Reporting area:
- ‘Assessments’ tab: active attempt,
- ‘Replays’ tab: previous attempts (1 replay = 1 line).
